Global Girls Squad is an EdTech company that will provide young girls of color access to content and characters that they can see in themselves all in a safe space our products include storytelling through virtual reality, books, games,  and animation. The future Global Girls Squad characters and stories aim to motivate kids to explore the world around them, guide them toward high-achieving life paths, and inspire kids to learn about themselves along the way.  The flagship product is  the series entitled “Lizzie and McKenzieâs Fabulous Adventures”.  Lizzie & McKenzie Fabulous Adventures is the first-ever interactive story series made for mobile devices. Lizzie & McKenzie Fabulous Adventures infuse timeless lessons and the core values of friendship, leadership and the importance of diversity into a fantastical and enriching story.

According to the Cooperative Childrenâs Book Center (CCBC) has released its 2019 survey results on diversity in childrenâs and YA literature, of the 3,716Â childrenâs books that were published in 2019 only 11.9% were about African -Americans. While 29.2% were about animals.
Gaming
Fewer then 11% of games feature black characters, and of those the majority are athletes or gangsters.
Cartoons & Animated Films
Children of color have historically received little representation in animated films and cartoons. Often times relegated to a stereotyped character or, the âbest friendâ or âneighborâ.
Research has shown that African-American females tend to feel worse about themselves after watching TV, playing video games, or consuming other sorts of electronic media.
